Lloyd J. Schwartz began working with his father, Sherwood Schwartz, on The Brady Bunch, Gilligan’s Island, and It’s About Time. He has been a fixture as a producer and writer in film, television and theater since the 1960s. He swiftly rose to producer of The Brady Bunch as part of the only father/son producing team in the business.

As an executive at ABC, he oversaw the successful comedy series Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, Three’s Company, and What’s Happening (which he also produced).

Two of his TV movies, Rescue from Gilligan’s Island and A Very Brady Christmas, were two of the highest rated TV movies to air. His films The Brady Bunch Movie and A Very Brady Sequel were highly successful as well, proving that the best cure for troubling times is still laughter and comedy.

Lloyd has also been a freelance writer for television writing and/or producing episodes of many series including: Baywatch, Love: American Style, The Love Boat, The A Team, The Munsters Today, Safe at Home, The Invisible Woman among others. He has written musical theater plays of The Brady Bunch and Gilligan’s Island.

 

Lloyd has written and produced many TV movies and series based on the series including: Rescue from Gilligan’s Island, The Harlem Globetrotters on Gilligan’s Island, Brady’s in the White House, The Brady Brides and many others including the latest Brady permutation.
